Focused ultrasound HIFU (Ultraformer III)

The High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is a new technology that has arrived in the aesthetic field for non-surgical lifting, but already used in other sectors of medicine, which exploits the action of ultrasound.

These are directed, on the tissues in a focused manner, selectively reaching the layers of the superficial and deep dermis where they stimulate collagenogenesis and the underlying musculoaponeurotic layer (SMAS) where they trigger a powerful regenerative stimulus capable of determining a lifting effect and tissue tightening.

The treatment is minimally invasive and can be performed at any time of the year as it is not necessary to avoid sun exposure of the treated area and allows an immediate return to daily activities.

It is suitable for all skin phototypes and is indicated for laxity of:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Décolleté
  • Chin
  • Laxity at the level of the arms and knees

Furthermore, it is also effective for eyebrow lifting.

The treatment is performed through the sequential application of different probes in the area to be treated where the patient may feel a slight sensation of warmth or minimal discomfort, in most cases no anesthesia is required.

Treatment duration

The duration of the treatment depends on the area treated and varies on average from 20 to 45 minutes, leaving only a slight redness for 20-30 minutes, modest swelling for a few hours, only a very slight tenderness to finger pressure for a few weeks.

Results

The results are partly visible immediately but the improvement in terms of smoothing and tightening continues over the following 90 days, the time required for the regeneration of new collagen. Generally, only one treatment is necessary, in cases of more marked laxity a second one can be repeated after 3-5 months.
