Emergency admission

The Clinic is not equipped with an Emergency Room service. In case of a medical emergency, you must contact 118 or the hospital Emergency Room.

However, there is a doctor on duty present throughout the day — 24 hours, every day of the year — who, if necessary, can also handle urgent admissions within the disciplines available at the Clinic.

It is the doctor on duty who assesses the patient's critical condition and considers whether, with the available means, it is possible to perform an emergency diagnostic-therapeutic intervention with the necessary measures to stabilize them. They can then proceed with the admission or organize a protected transport if admission is not possible or if they deem care at another institution necessary.

Urgent admission is activated through direct access to the Clinic.

02

Ordinary admission

Ordinary admission is possible for the disciplines available at the Clinic and can be carried out throughout the day. It can be proposed by the family doctor or the hospital Emergency Room.

Admission can also occur through transfer from acute, post-acute, and long-term care departments of public hospital facilities of the Azienda U.S.L. to the acute, post-acute long-term care, and extensive rehabilitation functional units of the Clinic.

The two regimes

Differences between accredited admission and patient-borne admission
Regime What is needed Costs
In accredited regime A specific request from one of the proposers (family doctor or hospital Emergency Room) is required. Costs borne by the National Health Service
Outside the accredited regime No request is necessary: the citizen chooses. Cost of hospitalization borne by the patient

Paid services and treatments

All services provided under accreditation — both admissions and outpatient services — can also be performed with costs borne by the patient. There are also services provided by the Clinic exclusively for a fee.

For hospitalization activities, it should be noted that if the patient chooses to be followed by a doctor who is not part of the Clinic's staff, they will have to bear all the costs related to the admission. Cosmetic surgery services are exclusively at the patient's expense; it is also possible to perform ophthalmic surgeries for cataract removal with artificial lens implantation, with expenses borne by the patient.

The patient, even if admitted under accreditation, can request additional hotel comfort services for a fee, such as the use of the entire hospital room. The rate is communicated before admission and signed for acceptance.
