Integrated path for the treatment of overweight and obesity

Fill out the questionnaire

Why an integrated path

Obesity and overweight are multifaceted, often chronic issues that arise from the interaction of multiple factors: genetic, medical, environmental, social, and psychological.

The treatment of obesity therefore requires a diagnostic and therapeutic path that takes into account the complexity of the causes, the associated complications, and the psychological and social relevance of the condition.

Its primary objective — even before weight loss — is a comprehensive understanding of the person, considered in their entirety, to intervene on the various elements at play in an organic and harmonious way.

What evaluations are planned

Three different perspectives on the same person

01

Medical evaluation

The state of overweight or obesity is assessed, any organic causes and possible associated conditions — arterial hypertension, diabetes, glucose intolerance, metabolic syndrome. The clinical documentation in the person's possession is analyzed and, if necessary, further examinations are requested.

02

Nutritional evaluation

An analysis of eating habits and lifestyle, accompanied by bioimpedance analysis: a non-invasive method that analyzes body composition, monitors fat mass, lean mass, and body fluids, and provides an estimate of basal metabolism.

03

Psychological assessment

The meaning of excess weight, its place in personal history and life context, the resources possessed and areas for improvement, motivation to undertake a weight loss journey, expectations, possible obstacles, and previous dietary experiences are explored.
